Traveling with kids is not easy, but it is so good for the soul. We are travelling to Hawaii in a couple of weeks and I am so excited to share some of the things that I will be bringing along to make our trip safe, the kids happy, and mama stress free. We are going to Oahu Island with 3 families so it is going to be a crazy busy, but so much fun trip! I love building memories with my kiddos and their cousins. NOTHING makes my heart happier! Walmart has premium brands that are perfect for travelling that may surprise you.
11 Things I am Packing for Our Family Trip to Hawaii
1.) Baby Jogger City Select LUX convertible stroller – I can NOT reccomended this stroller enough. This stroller converts from a single to a double, but my favorite part is the jump seat/sit + stand option for older kiddos, like Ryland. This double stroller is super easy to fold, the hand break is probably one of my favorite features because it helps with slow things down when you are going down hill, and also Rori is a fan of the seats beause they recline all the way and the canpopy has pretty good coverage.
2.) Britax Frontier ClickTight Carseat – I used this exact carseat with both of my kiddos, Rori is still in it. They both nap well in this carseat and on long road trips they never complain about being uncomfortable. My favorite feature is the LATCH system because it makes transferring the carseat from airport to Uber SO much easier.
3.) Diono Monterey XT Latch High Back Booster – This is the carseat that Ryland is currently in and he enjoys it. It’s fairly new to us, I think we’ve had it for 2 or 3 months since he now meets the height/weight requirement for a high back booster without a harness. This carseat is extremely lightweight which makes it the perfect travel seat for safety.
4.) Gate Check Car Seat Travel Bag – If you are checking in your carseats like we do, then I recommend getting these travel bags for your carseat. The travel bag makes carrying the carseat much easier because it comes with built in straps.
5.) Parent’s Choice Training Pants – Rori wears training pants during the night, and when we are travelling on airplanes or long road trips. We choose Parent’s Choice because it is breathable and doesn’t leak through even after a 9+ hour of sleep time. Rori chooses Paren’ts Choice training because of the fun characters, haha!
6.) Activities are so important to keep the kiddos quiet and busy! We will be bringing this kids travel activity book and this hidden picture book to play “I spy wih my little eye”
7.) SkipHop Zoo Harness Backpack – I really love this backpack (we own this backpack in several different animals: dog, butterly, ladybug, and owl). This backpack gives Ryland and Rori the sense of independence.
8.) Child Life Jacket Floaters – Rori is not a strong swimmer and we will be spending alot of time at our hotel water slide park. This is a must for us and gives me peace of mind.
9.) SkipHop Diaper Bag – When travelling with two kiddos, handsfree is a requirment. This makes it easy to be handsfree while having a space for my wallet and other things
10.) Hello Bello Travel Set – Let’s be real. I hate hotel bodywash for myself, so I won’t let my kiddos use them either. I always bring our own bath essentials. This one is perfect for travelling because it comes with everything the kiddos use and need.
11.) Hello Bello Sunscreen – I anticipate that we will be spending 90% of our time in the water or by the water. Where there is water there is sun! Sunscreen is a must!
My kiddos are older and don’t need this, but I reccommended this travel bed to my sister for her infant for napping while at the beach.
