SKELETON for Halloween?! Before I had kids, Halloween was my favorite! I used to spend hours getting ready for the night and really just enjoyed being someone else – even it was only for a night. Now that I have Ryland and Rori I completely forgot about dressing up for Halloween because I am always too busy planning for their friends to come over for out annual halloween potluck party. This year, I decided to do dress up and give you all ideas for hallween. I wanted to be a skeleton, but a “trendy” skeleton so I threw on a beautiful gown with all the tulle and painted my face. For my skeleton makeup I used black and white face paint from my local drug store – which I don’t reccomend. I reccomend going to an actual halloween store. The face paint that I used cracked so much and didn’t hold up well. You can find the face paint that I used here (so you can stay away. haha)!
5 Halloween Characters that I’ve been in the past
- Ariel from The Little Mermaid
- Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz
- Naughty French Maid
- Queen of Hearts from Alice and Wonderland
- Taxi Cab Driver
and yes, all of these halloween costumes were the ADULT VERSION haha!
Location: California State Capitol Museum

So beautiful! I never really dress up for Halloween either but I think this year I’m going to paint my face, maybe do a sugar skull design. Thanks for the tip on staying away from the Target makeup lol.
