Final thoughts Friday: DOSE OF COLORS matte liquid lipstick

I purchased 2 matte liquid lipsticks for $18 each in the shade Coral Crush and Kiss of Fire. My first impression of the packaging – I loved that the liquid lipstick came with an applicator and the slightly frosted bottle is so pretty! I also didn’t notice a scent which is always a plus to me because I am easily sensitive to scents (especially floral).

DOSE OF COLORS Coral Crush was very true to color, the shade looked exactly the same in the bottle as they did on my lips which is so good!

DOSE OF COLORS Kiss of Fire was not true to color, the shade looked more like of like a burnt red, but when it went on my lips it had a purplish pink tone to it. Definitely not what I expected and not the shade I paid for.

Both DOSE OF COLORS matte liquid lipstick went on liquidy (almost felt like applying lotion to lips) I didn’t feel any matte-ness in those first few moments. I was able to apply both lips without the lipstick drying out.

My lips did feel a tad bit dry after a couple of hours of wearing the matte liquid lipstick, but it wasn’t an unbearable feeling. For lunch I had a footlong Subway and Coke, after lunch, I noticed that some of the lipstick rubbed off o my lower lip to my chin area (this happens with every lipstick for me). 4 hours later, the color pigmentation was still on lips, but it did start to feather off around my lips.

I did my lashes, ate lunch, went to class, ate an orange, dinner, and had water… 8 hours later the lipstick was still on! From 12 pm to 8 pm I never reapplied. Pretty darn good if you ask me! End of the day – I did have to use coconut oil to remove the lipstick because it was really long-lasting and wouldn’t come off with my regular face wash. I would absolutely repurchase this again because of how lasting it was!
