Birthday Party Inspo

The kids and I just celebrated our birthdays, and with sunny weather comes outdoor birthday parties! I love being able to celebrate the growth of my kids, but having a big party with lots of friends can be overwhelming. However, having some outdoor games and activities really helps to keep a party fun and moving smoothly.

Let’s start with games! Have some easy games out like giant connect four, giant tic-tac-toe, and an obstacle course. This will keep everyone entertained in between any set activities, gifts, and cake. I have found that balloons and bubbles are always easy entertainment as well. Another fun game is the human ring toss! Get 6-8 giant pool rings, have the kids split up into two teams, and let them see who can toss the most pool rings on their teammate!

I also like to have set activities throughout the party. One fun craft is to tie-dye shirts or pillowcases! This is a fun and easy enough craft that allows the kids to get creative! Another fun little activity is having them decorate their own cookies or cupcakes. The kids can get silly with this by adding gummy worms or candy eyeballs!

These are just a few ideas to create a memorable day for your birthday kid and avoid too much chaos. Adding a theme to the party to really fit your child’s personality is another way to add to the fun! Making the games fit the theme will create the perfect party. Drop in the comments your game and theme ideas for creating a memorable party! And don’t forget to check out my weekend sales blog!
